Cool Air Capalaba has simplified the service line-up and offers three service options.

All procedures are carried out by licensed technicians and only premium quality parts are used.

Air conditioning systems need regular servicing due to the natural porosity of the hoses and components of the air conditioning systems in modern vehicles In all vehicles the refrigerant gas will leak slowly out of the A/C system at a rate of 10-15% per year, thereby making your system gradually less efficient until it finally stops working all together.

If you let your A/C system run out of refrigerant and then you don't use the system for several months the chances are that internal component seals will dry out and you will have leaks in your system when it is eventually re-gassed – "This could be expensive"

AIR CONDITIONING TEST - $66.00

Cool Air Capalaba offers a comprehensive A/C Inspection of your vehicle's A/C system which comes with an easily understood written diagnostic report for ONLY $66.00 This service includes a performance check followed by a Pressure & Vacuum Leak Testing as well as Electronic Leak Detector (and U.V inspections if appropriate) to ensure that the system can be legally and reliably Re-Gassed.

This service offers extremely good value for money and tells you exactly what you need to know about your systems condition or whether you have a problem that needs further attention before carrying out the actual Re-Gas.

Air Conditioning Re-Gas Service: From $165.+ GST

Following a successful Inspection the system can then be Re-Gassed. Included in this Re-Gas Service is the application of a deep vacuum to remove spent gases and moisture, followed by a vacuum leak check before refilling the system with the correctly weighed out measure of gas (plus Ultra Violet Dye if required.) Once the Re-Gas is completed the A/C system is comprehensively re-tested to check the overall performance.

Please note that we do not and cannot offer a top up service, as this is illegal.

Full Air Conditioning Service from $250. +GST

To keep your A/C system in good condition Cool Air Capalaba recommend regular servicing. By servicing your system and changing your filter drier regularly you ensure optimum cooling, whilst keeping you and your passengers comfortable and optimising the life expectancy from your system.

The Air Conditioning Service includes the following:-

Static & operating pressure checks
Leak check with electric detector
Fan speeds & vent operation
In-car delivery temperature measurement
Compressor clutch operation
Drive belt visual check
Check conditioning of condenser, pipes and hoses
Condenser fan operation
Changing the filter drier

Any problems, leaks or items of concern will be reported to the vehicle owner. The options for repair or replacement will be discussed as necessary.

Following a successful Inspection the AC System is evacuated of remaining gas.

The Filter Drier is replaced, the A/C Oil is topped up as necessary and then it is Re-Gassed. Included in this Re-Gas Service is the application of a deep vacuum to remove spent gases and moisture. This is followed by a vacuum leak check before refilling the system with the correct weighed out measure of gas and Ultra Violet dye if needed. Once the Re-Gas is completed the A/C system is comprehensively re-tested to check the overall performance.

Filter / Drier Replacement - Price on application

The filter drier ensures no particles or moisture circulates in the air conditioning system, which can cause serious damage to the compressor. The filter/drier normally lasts 2 years, but if any system leaks are present then excess moisture generally renders the drier inoperable. Please contact us if you wish to price a filter drier for your vehicle.
